H.E. Dr. Amre Moussa Participates in GRC–Crisis Group Roundtable at Munich Security Conference 2026

H.E. Dr. Amre Moussa, Chairperson of Interpeace and former Foreign Minister of Egypt and Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, took part in the closed roundtable co-organized by the Gulf Research Center (GRC) and the International Crisis Group on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference 2026.

H.E. Dr. Amre Moussa, Chairperson of Interpeace, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and former Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, participated in the closed roundtable co-organized by the Gulf Research Center (GRC) and the International Crisis Group on February 13, 2026, on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference (MSC 2026).

During the discussion, Dr. Moussa presented an Arab perspective on regional security, highlighting the principal challenges facing the Middle East and reviewing recent political and strategic developments. His intervention underscored the importance of inclusive dialogue, diplomatic engagement, and coordinated regional efforts in addressing complex security issues and promoting long-term stability.

His participation contributed to enriching the exchange of views among senior policymakers and experts, reflecting the value of diverse regional perspectives in international security dialogues.

GRC and International Crisis Group Co-Host High-Level Roundtable at Munich Security Conference 2026

The Gulf Research Center (GRC), in cooperation with the International Crisis Group, co-hosted a closed roundtable luncheon on the sidelines of the 62nd Munich Security Conference (MSC 2026) on February 13, 2026, in Munich, Germany, under the title “Pathways to Peace: The Gulf Countries’ Growing Role in Conflict Resolution.”

On February 13, 2026, the Gulf Research Center (GRC), in partnership with the International Crisis Group, co-hosted and co-organized a closed roundtable luncheon on the sidelines of the 62nd Munich Security Conference (MSC 2026) at the Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich.

Held under the title “Pathways to Peace: The Gulf Countries’ Growing Role in Conflict Resolution,” the roundtable convened a distinguished group of senior policymakers, regional leaders, and international officials, including:

The discussion explored Gulf perspectives on regional security, examining the region’s evolving approaches to crisis management, mediation, and diplomatic engagement. Participants reflected on the incentives, motivations, and structural limitations influencing Gulf mediation efforts, while also highlighting the distinctive characteristics of Gulf diplomatic practice at a time when the region’s role within the international system is undergoing notable transformation.

The roundtable underscored the growing importance of Gulf diplomatic initiatives in contributing to conflict resolution and emphasized the value of sustained dialogue between regional and international stakeholders in advancing peace and stability.
